if only kenneth was more efficient in passing photos to me,then i'd be a much much happier girl.lalala~
if you frequent cathay cineplex as often as i do,you'd notice a whimsical dessert cafe to the left of the carpark entrance.i've always wanted to give tt place a shot,but inevitably lacked the opportunity.

so one night after watching j&j,kenneth allowed us to have a late dinner there.yay!

1 caramel is a (somewhat) newly opened cafe between ps and cathay cineplex.it's always pretty crowded when i go past it so i suppose pple like the food there,no?when we entered the front,i realised tt the premises was relatively small,hence the extension of alfresco seating which wasn't there previously.i was inclined to being indoors so i readily indicated my preference once greeted pretty quickly by the waitress.service man fen!hen hao!

whilst browsing thru the menu,i was delightfully surprised by 1 caramel's offering.cos apart from sweets,they actually have a small selection of savoury food.it's a good thing for them cos then they target more than dessert lovers.kenneth and i settled for(wat i think was called)a tuna melt to share before hitting the desserts.

as you can see from the collage above,we ordered 3 cakes after tt-strawberry shortcake,peanut butter chocolate and lychee rose.yum.they were served on big white plates(i like) tt had fancy chocolate drawings done on them.each plate had a different design so tt was pretty cool.i also enjoyed the entire process of ordering the cakes!they were all placed in a display cupboard prettily for your perusal and picking.much like shopping in a jewellery store-very very fun.

well,the tuna melt was good.but tt's a safe choice,if you asked me.from the foto,you'd see tt it came with olives and tt threw me off a leetle cos i've never reallie been fond of olives.but i decided to wing it with each bite of the sandwich.surprisingly,they complemented the taste of tuna.thank goodness then.i did enjoy the potatoes+salad on the side more.it's a pity tt there was so leetle.the cakes,however,were not as satisfactory as i would have liked them to be.they were yummy,dun misunderstand.but i think we can get better tasting cakes(for the price you pay) elsewhere.

all in all,this place is a try-if-you-pass-by-and-need-a-place-to-chill.cos apart from starbucks and b&j which are almost always crowded,cathay doesn't have chillax-ative areas to hang out.perhaps tt's why 1 caramel's sooo crowded all the time.howbeit,i do think the decor of the cafe deserves some brownie points.there was just a cosy touch within its elegance,which makes this a great date or girlfrens-sitting-ard-to-rest-after-day-of-shopping place.i also especially liked their seats(tt you see kenneth on in foto below)cos their tall backrests thingys reminded me of tweety bird's cage ride in disneyland.haha.

a very novel concept,with the mood 1 caramel's trying to create.and with good service too!now they just have to better the standard of their food.i do hope they'll be here to stay though cos we have such few quaint dessert cafes ard.i may go back to try some of their other cakes if i'm in the vicinity and need a sugar-rush.alrighty,will end off with a candid shot of kenneth(hoho) and my very pleased pose with the three cakes.

i'm not an mj fan.in fact,i'm one of those who believe he's a tad strange with the bleaching of the skin and the liking of boys,even though he denied both accusations/allegations.i do,however,agree he had some pretty good songs.but having said tt,i still wun pay good money to watch his concert.

anyhoo,i caught his movie tonight.anddd i must say,mj is reallie a genius entertainer.very very brilliant mind concerning entertaining.he noes exactly wat works in a concert,wat his fans would want to see/hear,and wat elements a final show shld have.

he's also a superb dancer.like sooper dooper good!probably better than his eleven background dancers.and mind you,he's freaking fifty years old.yet thru this movie,mj has proven tt age is definitely no barrier cos he's so light on his feet and swift with his moves.AND he could easily glide across the stage whilst singing.very very zai.

y'noe,come to think of it,he seems to be the only one who can sing and dance well,and have songs tt remain hot favourites for 20 million years.says very much abt the singers today huh?

wat was interesting during the film was how everyone showed mj utmost respect and how he was very polite to them in return.even when there were times where the team did not quite produce his intended effect of the song,he merely asked for them to try again-all in the nice gentle tone.no flaring up,no tantrums.he was all abt the l-o-v-e.admirable stuff.

so although i have a somewhat tainted image of the king of pop,it's actually no wonder to me now why he has such a huge following.he's a talent and one of the nicest performers ard.it's a pity he's gone though,but i'm sure his name will go a long long way.

last sunday's service was special for three reasons.firstly,it was communion service and the time to reappreciate wat the Lord Jesus did for me to be able to partake of communion.it reallie is a privilege,no less,to be (1)cleansed from sins,(2)part of the Lord's family,and (3)holding the bread and cup.i hope to never forget the price it took for me to be faultless before God.

secondly,ruth played at service!tt was pretty cool,considering it's been twenty million years since i've seen her play for a congregation.the last time was for ypg in bethany 2.i can't quite put a finger on the feeling(s) i had when i saw her walk to the keyboard,but definitely very heartening.i suppose i was especially touched to see her serving in this manner cos when a group of us were given the chance to start serving reallie reallie actively,she was already en route to perth.anyhoo,tt aside,i hope she gets to play with the zai pianist in the future.woohoo.

the third and final reason for a great sunday service was cos i learned sooo many new songs.i love them all because the lyrics were superbly meaningful.the one below was sung during communion and the words were just perfect for the moment.it encapsulated every thot tt was going on in my mind while the trays were being passed ard.

truly,all tt i was,am or will be-there's just nothing/zero/nil/zilch/nada/kosong tt i can boast in cos everything is the Lord's.
